Mario has 30 years of overall construction industry experience with more than 17 years specialized in renewable energy. He plays a key role in the continued growth and success of AUI with his primary focus being on the renewable energy market. Mario’s focus is to utilize his industry experience and relationships to grow AUI’s footprint in the renewable energy sector.

In addition, Mario’s diverse and operations focused background includes commercial building, heavy civil (earthwork, underground utilities, bridge & road), water/wastewater, railroad, multi-family). More recently his focus has been on successfully executing more than 2.3 GW of wind and 2.0 GW of solar projects.

Prior to joining AUI, Mario was a Vice President at Natgun Corporation in Wakefield, MA. From 1992-1997, he occupied several job posts of growing responsibility at Turner Construction Company in Boston, MA.

Born in Lima, Peru, Mario earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1992 from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He is an active member of The National Institute of Renewable Energy (NIRE), The Wind Alliance, Solar Energy Professional Network, Wind Power Industry Professionals, Solar Energy International (SEI), American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Wind Energy on Public Lands, and he has completed his Green Advantage Environmental Certification (GAC).
